2 Leaders Discussing Crucial Camp Strategy

Don Bosco Youth Camp is an annual camp held at Xavier College in the April school holidays organised and led by a team of volunteer leaders. We now invite those wanting to be involved in our camp or anyone wanting to develop their skills in Salesian Youth Leadership to sign up to attend our leadership weekend.

Age: 15 yrs and older

Location: Xavier College; 1 Kentish Rd, Gawler Belt

The Don Bosco leadership event is designed to equip participants with some of the skills and knowledge necessary for involvement in the Don Bosco Youth Camp Gawler in April 2021. On completion of the weekend, we hope that participants use the skills learnt and apply them in various settings such as workplaces, parishes, schools and community groups.

Some of the topics and skills covered over the weekend are:

How camp works
Salesian leadership and Don Bosco
Styles of leadership
Game preparation, evaluation and debriefing
Assessing risks and behaviours of concern
Preparing for Salesian liturgy, prayer and the goodnight
Self care as a leader
